  • Discuss your goals

  • Review your medical history and discuss any medications you’re on

  • Assess your suitability for treatment

  • Help you develop realistic expectations

  • Advise you on risks, side effects and follow-up

  • Answer any questions you may have about the treatment

If you decide to go ahead, Dr Daniel will create a customised treatment plan for you based on your aesthetic goals and skin characteristics.

What can be expected with lip rejuvenation?

Lip rejuvenation treatments may help to:

Improve lip appearance

Contributing to a more refined and refreshed look.

Define contours

Accentuating the natural shape of the lips.

Soften the appearance of fine lines

In some cases, this may lead to a smoother aesthetic.

Ideal candidates for aesthetic treatments for lips

Your first consultation includes a thorough review of your skin type and medical history to confirm the treatment is safe and appropriate for you.

That said, lip rejuvenation may not be the best choice if you:

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding

  • Have a known allergy or hypersensitivity to ingredients such as hyaluronic acid or lidocaine

  • Have cold sores, dermatitis or active infection at the treatment site

  • Have uncontrolled autoimmune or connective tissue disorders, such as lupus, scleroderma or rheumatoid arthritis

  • Are diagnosed with bleeding disorders or have a history of severe coagulopathies

Provide a more symmetrical aesthetic

Subtle adjustments can be made to maintain lip proportions, though results vary.

How long does lip treatment take?

Lip treatment:

  • Takes 15–30 minutes to complete + a 15-minute observation time afterwards

  • Usually lasts for 6–12 months (sometimes up to 18 months)

  • Changes can usually be seen almost immediately.

FAQs

  • Aesthetic treatments for lips typically focus on adding shape, definition or hydration to create a fuller, more youthful appearance. This can help refine the lip border, add subtle volume or balance facial proportions.

A lip flip, on the other hand, doesn’t add volume. Instead, it gently relaxes the muscles around the upper lip to encourage the lip to “flip” slightly outward. This can make the upper lip look more pronounced and can also help correct a gummy smile.

  • No, they are not. Over time, the product is naturally broken down by your body and gradually fades. Most people enjoy their results for around 12 to 18 months, though this depends on your individual metabolism and lifestyle choices. To maintain your desired look, our therapist will create a personalised plan and suggest timely touch-ups.

  • To help ensure the best possible results and reduce the risk of bruising or irritation, we recommend:

    • One week before your treatment — Avoid blood-thinning over-the-counter medications like ibuprofen or aspirin and supplements like St. John’s Wort, Ginkgo biloba, primrose oil, garlic or ginseng.

    • Two days before your treatment — Pause the use of topical products such as tretinoin, retinol and glycolic acid around the treatment area.

    • 24 hours before your appointment — Avoid alcoholic beverages.

    • On the day — Arrive with little to no makeup on your face. We’ll gently cleanse any remaining product when you arrive to allow for an accurate facial assessment and to minimise the risk of infection at the treatment sites.

  • Pricing for lip rejuvenation and skin tightening in Sydney can vary depending on your cosmetic goals, the type of product used and the amount required to achieve your desired result. We recommend booking a consultation so we can evaluate your needs and provide you with complete pricing details.
